Only a few can muster up the courage to enter the competitive fashion industry straight after graduation; Christine Joyce “Tentay” de Leon is one of the few. 🙂
Unlike most online fashion stores that import their clothing from Korea or Thailand, she operates in a small space in Parañaque with four sewing machines.
Despite the limited resources, Tentay de Leon makes sure that her products are of good quality. She designs, picks the fabrics, and sews, together with a few helping hands 💛
Now, onto Melbern Co., launched in mid-2016, Melbern Co. has already established a good following. I’d describe the brand in three words “Ultimate Comfort Chic,” where style meets comfort and functionality. Their clothes can go from day to night, casual to work. They have a very distinct style that when you see their clothes you know that they’re Melbern Co. 🙂 (instagram: @melbernco Facebook.com/melberncoph)
Here’s me in Melbern Co’s pieces. 💛

We need more brave individuals like Tentay de Leon, let this piece serve as a reminder for us to patronize local businesses, embrace locally made clothes, love our own talented designers; and simply love local.
One thing’s for sure, the future looks bright for Tentay de Leon and Melbern Co! 🙂 Check out Melbernco’s New Collection on instagram @melbernco and on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/melberncoph 💛✅
