Dress Your Mood in Happy Shades of Blue :)

Believe it or not, our clothes affect our mood. According to research, we dress how we’d like to feel or how we’d like others to think we’re feeling. So today I chose to dress how I feel, which is happy to close out another work week on this (even rainy) Friday. πŸ™‚

When we think about the color blue we almost automatically associate it with nature; The ocean, rain and sky. Now all of these can be associated with positive or negative feelings, the dark blue sky, heavy rains and raging ocean can elicit sad feelings because of the gloomy and cold weather, thus the saying “I’m feeling blue.”

On the other hand, when the sun’s up, the sky is bright blue and the ocean’s clear, we naturally feel warmth and joy.

This simple sky blue dress matched perfectly with my colorblock pointed pumps with the aqua point and heel! Wearing something simple doesn’t have to make you look too simple or dull, brighten it up by putting on a good pair of shoes that complement your clothes, or some simple accessories. These are just small things that completely change your look! πŸ™‚

So on a day when you’re feeling blue, choose to dress opposite how you feel. πŸ™‚ Research says it’s gonna help brighten up your day! πŸ™‚

Have a great weekend! πŸ’›
